I'm often asked where I get my ideas from and the short answer is - absolutely everywhere.
It is the human condition that interests me. The relationships we have with others and ourselves fascinate me every single day of my life. Superficially, much of my painting may look colourfully light hearted, slapstick even, and perhaps some of it is. Yet, when I look back over the years at my pictures, I realise that I have unwittingly created a record of my own life.
In my new collection there are paintings inspired by moments I have shared with both friends and strangers. I'm never short of inspiration - how could I be when it's all around me?
